I guess when a Prince site has been running for so long, you're gonna get inevitable lulls like this....there are a hell of alot of strands about Prince that can be discussed, from all points of view, but there is still only going to be a finite amount of subjects still.

We're lucky he is such a busy and creative artist....imagine if this was a Michael Jackson site, we'd have jack-sh*t to talk about!

I have an idea! When music is discussed here, we seem to focus on songs and albums a lot and we should continue doing this cause it's fun but why don't we do a lookback at certain eras or/and years with Prince? We can tell our personal stories about where we were with Prince and we were as a fans at that time and share anything personal if anyone here wants to. I think it could bring a new dynamic to the discussions here. For all I know, this may have been done before and if so, then lets resurrect the idea again. I'm at work right now but I'll try to come up with something this weekend.

I agree with you. I'll say this..although I'm new here,I've been diggin' P for a long time. What made this place great was that I had these thoughts about Prince that I felt I could express openly here and not get too many confused/ looks from people... its great because I can bug people here and not go into it with my folks... I don't drive them nuts with my constant musing of Prince... I drive you guys nuts but at least you understand where I'm coming from and I don't have to explain myself because u know what I'm talking about when I say his music is awesome

A lot of people love to bitch and moan about threads and about how "fammy" fans are around here at Prince Music and More but when a thread with some real substance comes around, where are those people who are bitching at? Forget those who come here on and post regularly, I'm talking about those who love to talk about what's wrong and yet do nothing to make it any better. That's a bit of a problem right there because half the people just skip my posts because they've got short attention spans

It's something I can't help When Prince is the subject and no matter what song or album it may be, or even about the mysteriously amazing person he is, once I start, I can't stop until I've said everything on my mind.
My lengthy posts are in short supply these days because there's nothing being posted that I can talk about in length. (Though the "what should I get next" thread has warmed me up a bit and showed me that I can still post long).

Writing is something I've loved doing since I was 13, but I think this place has really awakened that part of me and makes me post the way I do. I never did it to get respect or to put myself out there or make people aware of me, but all of those things came w/o my asking them to.

I still get replies from people who think I'm , delusional, etc... and that's part of the reason why posting here gets the most difficult. I didn't deal with that first adversity when I first came but I think that once I developed my own opinions, those who see things differently decide that I'm not just some newbie anymore. I'm some crazy fanatical fam in love with Prince

I've got a new thread lulling about in the Artists community boards, but until I get another idea for a thread I can post in length, I'll try to help the "worthy/interesting" threads along
