I always wondered this too.

he doesn't seem to play much of his very early work at all.

I think it's because Dez Dickerson isn't in the band with him anymore, so he can't play those twin lead guitars.

He hasn't played Lady Cab Driver since the 1999 tour, because Dez played the lead guitar on that song, too.

I think it would be cool if he reunited with Dez. Or at least found a guitar player with a similar style.

there are no two lead guitar solos,prince done the solo ,dez only played terca at the end of the song melody

That Falsetto is on-going through-out the song..

Prince has a very deep speaking voice for a man of his stature..

Singing falseto probably hurts the rest of his performance..

That's probably why you won't hear "Adore", because it is easier to pul that off in the studio with over-dubs and days of work.

Folks haven't heard "Adore" as a complete song from "88" to now on tour..

first of all its much easier to sing falseto then normal voice.
when you sing with normal clear voice you sing from your belly,when you sing falseto you sing from your throat .

if you dont belive me try to hit some high notes with falseto and it will be much easier then with your normal voice.

regarding song adore since 2002 prince peformed at least 30 times song adore.
he did it on one nite alone tour ,2004 musicology tour.althought im not sure about london .
should i say that he sang adore better then when he originaly recorded it.

He played it a few of the 3121 club gigs in december 2006, also in 2004 it was played alot

he sang falsetto quite beautifully during Pink Cashmere opening night in Vegas which made me melt.

As far as Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad, it's one of my all time favorites and I too wish he would resurrect that song.

Its not a great song, he's written so many why play that particular one. I think it's one of the worst on that very strong album.

but it's all subjective. I thought it sounded like a copy of lover, the solos were fantastic but the song itself, i don't know. Even Bambi was better, I can't think of any other songs that don't leave me in awe realizing this is just a kid making this stuff. What's more, leaves his first album in the dust.
