This has been a posting ritual...and then if that's not bad enough...once in awhile...I wear the symbol...whenever inspired to ...always to concerts, if I am fortunate enough to attend one....and then...I have a couple of pictures...that I leave as my dresser drawer liners...such as a cardboard advertisement for Purple Rain...and I have a habit of making clay guitarz with Prince in mind..I have even made a few cloud gitarz...that are baked and glazed and somewhat phallic, but very nice...I have given many away as presents as well as sold a few.
Although I have a sentimental ritual as of 2005...I spend Christmas eve and New Years' eve alone...and with Prince music. no rituals, but i notice how when ppl (around me) bring up conversations about Prince.. everyone looks @ me (they all know im a fan) as if i have all Prince knowledge ..  .. Tame, .. girlfriend ... what .. is that in your avatar?  i have not stopped laughing and i needed that laugh lol | |

I teach special ed pre-k, and on Fridays, as my kids are coming in to the classroom, I play "Hello".
We all jump around like madmen while they put their coats and backpacks in their cubbies. My kids get a kick out of seeing me dance. I'm not sure if they're laughing at me or with me. On second thought, I'm pretty sure they are laughing at me! | |

I'm a huge fan since '85, back then I had an exercise book filled with pics of P. I would glue in there.
On every page I would drew some heart or write some silly line but on one page I wrote "I Prince 1985".
I cut out that piece of paper and every new yearsday I wrote another "I Prince 1986", 1987 etc. It had to be written exactly after 00.00 o'clock. I would slip away to a toilet, take out the little paper out of a treasurebox the size of an inch and write on it. Some years ago I had to use another piece of paper, that felt strange. I still have this treasure box....
 I still do it, I can't stop it. Though I restricted it to writing it on the 1st of January, during the day, I never crossed that day
And I used to wear a Prince symbol a friend made for me on a necklace all the time. If I had a presentation or an important meeting I would touch it through my clothes, althoug the point of the symbol did sting me plenty a time in my stomach/belly when I would sit down. I haven't worn it for years. | |
