Was James Brown doing any NEW Groundbreaking songs in his 40s/50s while on Tour? Was Stevie Wonder doing any NEW Groundbreaking songs in his 40s/50s while on Tour? Were The Rolling Stones doing any NEW Groundbreaking songs in his 40s/50s while on Tour? Answer to all of these questions....No. Prince is at the age now where is enjoying the fruits of his Labor. Doesn't he have the right to do so? He's given us more than enough material to dig through without getting too bored. awww how about focusing on his albums since emancipation? as 4 stevie, i saw on tv last night a concert of stevie's and he was doing a few songs from :gasp: conversation peice the stones at least did a new song from their latest album at the time during the superbowl but if u want 2 keep hearing the same tired songs tour after tour ..go right ahead ..i ain't the one 2 spend my money seeing someone per4m songs from he was 25-30 been there done that when he was 25-30 and beyond. man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

that way..nobody will feel like an ass going to see him and paying hard earned money to hear his HITS "AGAIN" for the last time since 2004 ! Do you REALLY feel lied to when someone at Prince's marketing department says that the hits were being played for "the last time"??? That's really sad if you feel that way. I think the internet has ruined the element of suprise for touring musicians. Because as soon as the concert ends, someone is on their computer running down the entire set-list. So of course people are gonna get bored if they read the same songs over & over again. It's not like he's been playing "hits shows" for a decade. He's only been doing them for North American & European audiences. His fans in London didn't get to see him play those songs "for the last time" in 2004. The majority of people who go to see Prince want to hear him play songs like Let's Go Crazy, Kiss, and Purple Rain for the 500th time!!! During the ONA tour there were a lot of people upset at the fact that he didn't play those songs. Tickets to those shows were a lot more expensive than the tickets for these current arena shows. So people who paid more hard earned money than they did in 2004 were upset that they paid all that money for tickets, and he didn't any songs they reconized!!! He still aftershows so the hardcore fans can hear him do a 22 minute version of Empty Room. He plays those aftershows for people like us. He also plays those big arena shows for the other 90% of people who go see Prince. is that prince's fault or their own 4 not keeping up with his output? think about it ..it ain't illegal yet man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Isn't Prince continually saying "for the last time" a lie?
What would Jehovah say?
