Trent Reznor 's Princelike Action Hopefully 3121 comes back with a similar surprise!
Reznor just released the new Nine Inch Nails album via his blog (with NO hype leading up to it), and made it available for purchase in a number of configurations. Of 36 total songs, the first 9 are free for downnload. The rest can be downloaded via "pay as you wish" (min. $5) and there several different packages, all the way up to $300 for a number of formats, books, and an autographed copy. i hope trent doesn't burn out on the whole "independent and free" trip the way prince and bowie both did when they got some freedom to release music on their own terms. it's like, as soon as they got things their way and had the ability to release as much music as they wanted whenever they liked, that's exactly when they started to slow down.

And in Princes case, the music also lost it's edge. Thing is I thought Prince had it all on his terms via the web. Christian Zombie Vampires
