PRINCE ON THE MUPPET SHOW? Have just watched this after a few years and I was wondering - does Prince cringe in embarrassment the way I do watching this now?? | |

I didn't think it was all that bad.
I love the Muppet Show. The problem I had with it was that he didn't appear altogether comfortable doing it. | |

I loved watching this again..... but after another viewing I think it comes with a side order of ham acting!
My daughter loved it tho' There is a crack, a crack in everything - that's how the light gets in. | |

I hope not. This was done as a kind of memorial to his child who had died, when he sang 'she gave her angels' for Mayte. I think it was great!  [Edited 3/4/08 12:58pm] | |

it was silly indeed, but it was rather nice too. i quite respect him for doing it too, something a little out of the ordinary. didnt care at all for the farmer segment of it (prince just sounded wierd). the rest was very charming and amusing though. Wouldn't you love to love me? | |

really see's.. or thinks about.. Just like the "Diamonds and Pearls" video when he is sitting with all the kids and the bubbles are being blown. that is really nice.. We have the Muppet show recorded from the TV and every now and then I watch it and have to smile. | |

Awwww come on!!!
It's one of my top Prince moments. Especially that part in Starfish and Coffee where he and all the puppets sing that "ohhhh oooooh ohhhh" part. THAT DRIVES ME CRAZY!!! It made me laugh as a kid. I had to be about 12, 13.....maybe 11. Not sure when it originally aired. I thought it was the coolest thing in the entire world to see him on there. | |
