Prince's hip chain I've often wondered about the chain around Prince's hips, does anyone know the significance of it and whether he still wears it?
It's always fascinated me and when I was younger and much, much thinner (I sigh as I look down at my big pregnant belly  ) I used to wear a silver one. <<< Useless bit of personal information there for yah...  I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

At least we know it wasn't a chastity belt. I always found it sexy. I remember one performance where he turned away from the audience unzipped his low riders and took off the chain. The audience lost and he threw the chain into the audience. I wonder who caught it. Talk about valuable concert giveaway.. | |

I wore one during my marriage...and eventually got rid of it. I like them. However, it was a gift....so the gift ran it's course, along with the relationship. Prince looks cute with a chain. the only thing that fascinates me about that.. is .. Prince was wearing that 20 years ago (Kiss vid).. when nobody else was wearing it (it wasnt fashionable) .. ... and now everybody is wearing it .. same thing with bell bottoms... Prince came out in the Kiss vid with it (so did Jody Watley) ... bell bottoms didnt return til 89' .. | |

I've seen him wear that chain throughout the "Purple Rain" movie and I dig 
Pulls his whole look together, especially during the Computer Blue scene with that choreography 
I don't think he wears it anymore  I don't remember seeing it. I think it's one of those 80's fashion trends that died with the decade.had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone | |
