Dirty Mind tour in '81 in Paris I saw the part where he played "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad" and out of the blue he said, "BITCH!" I would usually get mad or ignore that kind of comment but I could not stop laughing because the way he said it!
Did anyone else see this part or see the part amusing?!

Paris 81, that must be very rare If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Did anyone else see this part or see the part amusing?! Yeah and he also did it on the Controversy tour that I saw in 82 out here in Santa Monica on the same song. On the Houston show on the Controversy show from 81, same thing, same song. Obviously he started doing it on the DM tour and kept doing it all through the Controversy tour. Second of all, Prince would never ever use the word bitch to describe his lover, unless He was sayin'.., "bitch...when we get back from church, were gonna...u know the rest and He knowz who He iz and she knowz who she iz. kinda jazz. I'm just being stupid. ry not to take me seriously...I am a loving person, I luv u all. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

at that same show he sang a new song "jack u off" at one point he chuckles a little bit as he says "jack u off" as if he knew it was a silly song.

I've got a recording from the New Orleans date from the same tour and he shouts "Bitch" during the song then as well. 1981...man, Prince andthe band were so raw and funky back then. There's a version of Uptown on the recording that is awesome! www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site!

there is a concert from paris that is circulating and this is where the reference comes from. if u have seen the bbc documentary, there r brief shots in it from this concert man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I also read that alot of the Dirty Mind Tour was professionally filmed, what I wouldnt give to see that *courtesy of Per Nilsen If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

I'm getting old
Reading this thread with Prince's different lines makes me think about a song of his where normally it goes something like this: Girl asks him: "are you gay" and he goes with a soft deep voice "no... are you?" But on this tape, I believe from '81 too he screams "no... yo momma!". That made me laugh everytime I heard it. Please, what song is this, can someone help me before I lay in my bed thinking about this song all night!

Was watching this show just yesterday.
The best quote from the show for me is:- Come on you peckerheads sing it!! if you've gotta pay for things that you've done wrong I've gotta big bill coming at the end of the day- Gil Scott Heron
