I don't know how I missed that. Usually, that's the type of thing that would have jumped out at me!

Elton is my all time hero and I'm glad he's giving praise to Prince. Considering how good a live act Elton is, it must be very satifiying for Prince to hear the above comments.
I just hope Prince is still producing great music when he gets to Eltons age. Eltons latest,"Captain and the Kid" album is a fantastic return to form and pisses over anything Prince has done in the last 5 years, although Eltons output throughout the 70s is one of the few collection of albums that can be held up to Princes 80's output (imo)

Wow, this is nice to hear Elton giving Prince his much-deserved props. But we as fans already know that Prince is the best performer around today. But it's nice to hear it being said by someone who is also in the music biz. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Elton John's music from The 70's was a major part of the sparkle that made that era so magical in my opinion. And his reputation for showing up at gigs in those elaborate costumes just sealed it for me! Who else could pull off a major piano concerto wearing a Donald Duck costume, or perform for Heads of State dressed as The Queen?!? Hell, Elton WAS The 70's!

Girl's got skills! You are absolutely right. Charo the musician and "Charo" the character, are two different things. Back when Charo was coming up in the 1960's and 1970's, there wasn't much room for a Spanish-speaking, female, classical guitarist. She got trapped in a personality that brought her fame, but at the expense, some would say, of her credibility. She's actually quite talented. Some people tell me I've got great legs...

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.
