Speaking of hip surgery, any idea why the other threads were deleted?

Can you imagine how many times Beverley would have said "Oh My God! Thank you SO much!" if Prince had/has asked her to join the band?!!

I don't understand the dislike for Dougie Fresh or old school rap. It was a 100% better than that crap that is out now.

I love old school rap. I dislike Doug E. Fresh because everytime he is on stage with Prince he does the same tired riff from La Di Da Di and "da artist rocks the hardest". It's played out. He might be Doug E., but his rhymes are certainly no longer "fresh."

"La Di Da Di and "da artist rocks the hardest"

Those are his two biggest songs. Do you expect him to do rap covers? He has not performed with P in a long ass time and everytime I saw him perform with P the crowd loved it.

I am sorry but his rhymes are better than what your hearing now and a good mc only needs to rock the crowd. Which he does reasonably well.

Sounds similar to the London setlists. Nice to know he's out and about.

ya think he would have dropped that tired setlist by now ..but the coolest part of that party is Stevie ..otherwise bored
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Don't know about the credibility...Seems like Prince's new/rented??? house must be huge and purple if all of that happened. I hope he gives us a tour with his next album just like 3121.

Stevie & P - sounds great, but have to say I'm more interested in the Beverley Knight reference - has she joined the band?!?!

How for one min can you be more interested in her than him and Stevie... your head needs reading. Put it this way, her career was never what she wanted, but she can sing. So that will prob be her life now, backing singing.

Tuffty

I'm surprised the columnists who write for the showbiz section in the Mirror could even report as they don't seem to like Prince at all. He's mentioned almost on a daily basis with your standard 'purple midget' tag and reports of how much a diva he acts like. Think it all stems from when they tried to take photos of Prince when he was at a party (silly, silly girls!!) and he shunned them.

But more importantly, what a night that sounded like! Would have loved to have been there (and not just because I fancy the pants off Kate Beckinsale razz )
