Dave chappelle at Paisley Park this is old news to die-hards; but I didn't realize Dave Chappelle is one Prince's VH1 special, "Love 4 One Another" where he was performing at paisley park!! crazy | |

I was there at the taping! Didn't know who Dave was at the time. I think that was the night they taped him, then Nona Hendrix and later Prince and the NPG played 3 or 4 songs. | |

Yeah, I saw this awhile ago and I was like "oh, so Prince already knew dave from way back....cool!"

I believe it was in 1995. Either right before or right after the release of the Gold Experience. This was also the coming out of Mayte and Prince's relationship. He was on the phone with a "reporter" and he said my soul mate will be at the concert dressed in gold. People thought it was going to be Nona Gaye (who was on the show as well singing Inner city blues) or Veronica Webb because up to this point they were supposedly dating. I remember Dave on stage and then the music started and he said "I guess that is my Q to get off." I haven't seen this in about 10 years so.... Prime aka The Kid
