(LOL) Pop isn't the problem. The problem is the weak, uninspired material with no edge. He's probably scraping the proverbial bottom of the barrel of that vaunted vault of his. 
I don't mind though. He's given us enough great music for a lifetime and while his current music may not have the staying power of the 1999 album it's not as worthless as I jokingly intimated earlier. Besides, there's so much good music out there (Prince and non-Prince) that I couldn't get through it all if I tried.  |
