Just wanted to know, I'm a fan of Kevin Smith's movies and I was wondering, for those of you who were at "The Celebration", how accurate was his story about it? Were any of you guys part of the chat sessions he talks about, and also was anyone at the St. Paul show where some of the footage was shown?

I was there for the Celebration... I was in on listing session (the one Prince didn't show up) but Larry G. was standing there. It was very boring and I was thinking to myself ... "is this a religious documentary or something." We also got to listen to Rainbow Children in studio A. The night concerts were the best - Common, Alicia Keys ... man it was just COOL. I went to the Friday night concert...it wasn't bad.

His stories are pretty dead on. I was around him quite a bit that week and he was shooting under considerable stress by the end.

Prince's security was strange that week too. I was doing an interview with Kevin's wife on the patio at Paisley and the same dude interrupted us 3 times to ask to see passes.
