How prince is viewed

I was just recently on this site black voices and there was a post on mani and eric benet. Most of the people on there were saying that something most be wrong with prince for mani to leave him. They were specualting on how he treats people and whether he is good in bed. Personally I don't believe that there is something wrong with a person if someone leaves them. I had an uncle who left his wife who was very pretty, smart, nice for a woman who was the exact opposite. The whole family thought he was crazy. Eric Benet is not a good rebound he is a documented cheater and sex addict. Question: Did mani leaving prince affect his image to the public?
Prince believes he is a musical prophet that has been chosen by Jehova to guide his fans to the "truth".

I don't think so. I think their comments are due to other factors.

I don't want to generalize, but in this case I will to make a point, that is: IMO many African Americans still know Prince as the 1980s Prince -- wild and strange -- androgynes-- rock and roller. We tend to be very conservative as a group and somewhat judgemental in a block. We tend to not like "wild and strange gay people" and many were never exposed to rock -- i.e., most of Jimmy's fans were caucasian.

Besides, Eric Benet ain't no prize, just ask Halle and Toni.

Just my opinion.

Eric Benet is a doll that' 4 sure...But I wouldn't go anywhere near him knowing that Prince is here on earth.
