I've been with many women in life, from many cultures, and from different generations, and musical tastes.

Not ONE of them in my entire life were Prince fans.

Don't know why. It would've been nice... Hell, it would still be nice, because I'd love 2 be with a woman who respects Prince.

But in the past, they've all been bothered by my diggin' Prince.

I just don't get it. I'm a musician, and was influenced by people that recorded before him, and was certainly influenced by Prince. I end up trying 2 explain his importance in music, but they just never got it.

Yeah,...even more so, I think. This has been an issue I've had since I was in my teens. I've dated and even lived with girlfriends that I felt got with me cuz I reminded them of Prince. Which was a drag. Meaning what I am; A black guy who plays a variety of instruments with guitar being the main one, writes and produces his own music, plays in bands, wears his hair long and plays funk/rock. I still to this day have found girls who are interested in me to the point of wanting to date me because I remind them of what it is they dig about P. Not saying all of them cuz I have dated girls who definately were not fans of Prince. Which I prefer actually cuz a few of them end up comparing Prince to me. And I'm always like "Listen, u don't even KNOW Prince. U don't know how P is in bed. I'm the one you've been giving it up to...NOT Prince. Dig, do u know if P would pull over and kick your ass out of his car and leave u on the side of the road? Like I'm about to do?!" Zooooommmmm!!!

2) Of course they know who Hendrix is. Some are just more familiar with Prince.
3)My hair hangs well past my shoulders. I wear it differntly. It depends on my mood and where I'm going or what I'm doing. I haven't wore a Jheri curl since I was 16! I may wear it pressed and down. I may wear it in "plats" which are in two big braids, one on each side. Quite a bit, I'll braid it before I go to bed, and in the morning when I rise, I'll take down the braids but won't comb them out. So it'll have a big curly look. That's how I wear it on stage, mostly.
5) U gotta ask a female orger on here, VenusBlingBling. I say that to say that she has some dvd's of me and my band playing and a few things of me on tv. If u have the Purple Rain special edition, you'll see me when I was in my teens. I'm in some different shots at the premire. But to see me currently, get with Venus.
