I haven't finished reading it, but I'm already intrigued and interested in it.

My really strong impression reading it, was how sane and normal P sounds. I've decided it's all of us on the Org that are bonkers, not him!

The most interesting part (to me) was when he talked about Lisa and Wendy...and how he couldn't understand why they felt so hurt when the Revolution broke up. I think Prince has an ability to separate personal relationships from professional ones - something he'd need to be able to do to get as far as he has.

Lisa and Wendy were so young when they started working with him (Wendy was only 19, I think - and it was her first experience in a band). Thinking back on how I was at that age, I suspect that their identities got very caught up in "being the Revolution." When the Revolution disbanded (no pun intended), it was almost like they didn't know who they were anymore. And they blamed Prince.

My first career ended very tumultuously, too. I felt incredibly betrayed and hurt - and my relationship with my employer wasn't nearly as personal as Lisa and Wendy's with Prince.

I'm glad they've been able to get past some of that in the intervening years.
