How is it that when P does horns and guitar it sounds like the same old , same old[still very enjoyable but...]. Go listen to Just by mark ronson, I have always hated the thought of P having a producer but his work with Amy Winehouse + his covers album wher he totally funks everything up really does make you realise how 1 dimensional P can be. On the other hand P is and will always be the best live performer!

Mark Ronson's stuff is great and I especially like the way he puts a different twist on covers, HOWEVER his horn section is as loose as hell.

If he were to put some tight horns on "Version" then it would be tons better.

Now where's Fred, Maceo & Pee Wee when you need them !

That's why there are other artists in this world aside from Prince, so you can enjoy a variety. I'm certain that even Prince listens to other music aside from his own.

I agree tricky99, but given the choice between Prince and a jukebox on a deserted island..I'd choose Prince for entertainment.

Also, Prince is coming from a time when music incorporated everything. I hear the music when I hear Prince. Remember, we are hearing music the way Prince hears it and we will forever be hearing all of his musical influences.
