12" on iTunes Forgive me if this has been posted before, but I noticed that some of the old warner 12's are on iTunes, notably for me Sign o the Times/La,La,La,He,He,Hee (I love that b-side!).
The thing that gets me is that these aren't available on CD and if memory serves, Prince was asking us to send in the few that were released back to him for free! Personally I'd rather have a 'full fat' CD copy then a low grade MP3 which sounds crap on my real stereo. Who do I have beg to see that happen?? PS : Would *love* love or money on CD too!

The abbreviated La La La He He Hee was on the Hits/B-Sides CD set. I whole-heartedly agree with you about MP3s and other lossy codecs. They sound like shit.
256kbps(with missing information) vs 1400kbps stereo... make mine CD, please. Of course, there's FLAC and other lossless codecs that sound good... If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

This is why I still collect vinyl. I just rip it, myself. That way, the format's up to me. I can keep a full-size file and a compressed version for my iPod. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Or...better yet...I just play the record at home. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
