She is definitely hotter now. All the tattoos and skinniness and heavy make-up make her look more like a rockstar and that look definitely appeals to many fetishes.
Her "before" look just looked like a plain jewish girl that works a day job in an office. So, she is definitely hotter NOW. BUT - in about 20-30 years, her tattoos will look horrible on her worn, aged body. But for the sake of being a rockstar now, I like her look. She'll sell more albums now in this image-driven society. Whereas if she was just plainjane, that is the safer route, but not as many album sales. With so many album sales, in 20-30 years she will be able to afford to have the tats removed. Unless she blows all her money on drugs first...

It does add a little funk look to her funk sound but if both "looks" were walking down the street which one would you holla at? Keep it real Prime aka The Kid

Well, if both looks were walking down the street, I'd probably be a little more intimidated by the tatted-up version of her because that version is hotter. Being that I am a guy and will lower my standards (usually due to low confidence), I'd probably hit on the plain-jane version. Although, Mr. Happy would certainly jump higher for the tatted one. hahaha [Edited 2/18/08 17:38pm]

I'm not sure ... she does have a funky sound but I get caught on the outside look... She has changed ... Holy crap, that's Amy Winehouse in both pictures? Wow.

It is a bit of a contrast but seriously the music is what counts As far as Amy's lifestyle i believe it goes hand in hand with the music An example Ella Fitzgerald who was an incredible jazz singer but had a tortured life Prince i read when offering to work with Amy at Paisley Park stated the invitation did not include her hubby! I don't know too much about him and i am aware he influences Amy but she is hoping to go clean now and to do that she will have to review things then again he is in prison at the mo Where have all the raspberry women gone?

It was an emotional moment seeing her there on stage after all she had gone through and all the cancelled shows BUT musically or vocally speaking the two of them together was just aiight.
i agree ..i prefer shelby singing it instead of amy ..and when u talk about duets, that would mean something like beautiful loved and blessed where prince is actually singing on the song instead of just playing guitar man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

I was well impressed with Shelby's voice when i heard her at the aftershow on September 9th and i think Prince's talent of working with less household names and bringing out the best would compromise anything he did with Amy although i am sure it would be exceptional Where have all the raspberry women gone?

Id give my left testicle to see them paired up for a duet. I was one of the unlucky ones to miss that night at the indigo after my 3 trips there. I did however see Amy play in her only good gig of her tour last year where she was on top form just before she pulled the plug on the tour. One of the best gigs ive ever been to. I resigned myself to not seeing her as the night before she called the audience monkey c88ts before walking off half way through her encore. That being said i am fond of her cover of "monkey man". A prince and amy collaboration album would be fantastic

I can see your point but... creative souls are often more complex and more likely to get messed up in the head esp with drugs about whatever their class background. Whether you are from working, middle or upper class we all get upset over the same core emotions like love.

Amy was at the Brit awards tonight and she looked better and did a few songs as well including Valerie with Mark Ronson -- i love her singing just hope she can keep it together and i reckon both Amy and Prince go together quite well "C'mon y'all - let me hear you sing, c'mon y'all, shake, c'mon y'all, jump" - Yes Prince -
"London do you feel for me what I feel for you"- yes Prince - "Can I play my guitar now?" - yes please

Yep I second that Rita I was so pleased by her performance of Valerie and then Love Is A Losing Game on the Brits, she seemed back on form. Her voice didn't really falter much at all compared to some performances of the last year, hope she stays that way now bless her

she's actually quite young and really is a great talent - her singing makes the hairs on my neck stand up the music and songs to me are quite unusual and original - i think she could be really big and maybe its all a bit much - i hope not - however alot of people i know don't get it - a bit like Prince they don't get him either "C'mon y'all - let me hear you sing, c'mon y'all, shake, c'mon y'all, jump" - Yes Prince -

Poor old Prince, trying to find someone popular to clutch onto. At least Beyonce has some tone in her voice...Amy has an awful nasal delivery that I can't take more than 10 minutes of. And she used to be fit...she looks like shit these days. And she was a smackhead around the time of her first album...I used to know her fairly well around that time, purely 'cos she'd get wasted at the same places as me...but that bitch stole some money off me once (we were both fucked)...once a smackhead...
