Can anyone give me some knowledge about this song "Africa Talks to U"? It sounds like its from a jam session recorded at a club or bar. He talks about not being as good as the band that was up before them. Then the band jams then Prince sings what sounds like, "Must be love for you silly lady." Love this song.

It's a Sly & The Family Stone track "Africa Talks To You' performed at 7th Street Entry in MPLS on 25th October 1984 just prior to the Purple Rain tour.
Sheila E had been playing next door in First Avenue (with Prince making a brief 5 minute onstage appearance), and Prince evidently felt the need to pop into 7th Street Entry to jam a little more. Excellent little show - try to track down the complete 25 minute recording.

BOTH of the above are correct...
Prince has performed both songs live. The originals are from the Sly lp "There's A Riot Goin' On"... 'Africa Talks To You...' is famous from an early 80's jam at 7th St. Entry... 'Thank You For Talkin' To Me Africa' is from a few soundchecks and aftershows from the ONA era... Hope this helps.

Just get 'There's A Riot Goin' On' and you won't need Prince's cover versions It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

I have this old CD boot called "The Jam". Mutiny is also part of the set. Maybe newer boots have better sound from a better source, but my silver sounds like crap. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.
