In my opinion, this is the most moving heartfelt ballad I eva heard from Prince. Everylilsinglethang from this cut is just simply MOVING, from the back-up vox 2 the drums 2 the organ 2 the guitar 2 the strings AND on top of 'em all THE PIANO. Oh my lawd the paino its like every single drop on them keys tell a story and each story is different from the other LOL and all of them are just painful and sad stories.

Prince doesn't show his pain in his music like always but in this song he wasn't afraid of showing it. I wonder who's this song about??

I can think of Vanity/Susanah and I also can think off Dionne becoz,,read the lyrics again, I might be wrong.

Hearing COH made me realise what a genius he is. His sensitivity in this song contradicts the image most people have of him. If only they knew...

Really one of his most moving songs but it's very hard to get in to it. That's what I would call multilayered.

An absolutely astounding piece of music. This is one of those songs that I will never tire of. I have been listening to it since buying ATWIAD the week it came out, and it's one of those songs that I'd swear I hear some element I hadn't heard before each time I play it.

If I had to pick a single favorite Prince song, it might be this one (or 'Venus De Milo' or 'Everywhere' from The Rainbow Children).

Words just can't describe how I feel about songs like this...

I absolutely LOVE this song. It's my favorite from ATWIAD. It's just beautiful from start to finish. When I heard him perform this from the NYC show, I nearly peed in my pants. It' was as beautiful to hear it live as from the album. If people could hear songs like this, the whole world would be different.

One of my favourites, but that whole album is full of great tracks. It was the first album, of his, to really make me sit up and think that this guy was special.

Such a romantic bittersweet song. So moving and tender. Prince's voice is so mellow and clear and the piano is Twinkling.

i love it...

I like the song, but i prefer hearing him play it live. He sings it in a funny way on the album, but live it's just sung in that pure falsetto of his.

At first i didn't like it as it seemed to lack cohesion, but it has really grown on me.

My favorite line is There was a woman from the ghetto who made funny faces just like Clara Bow. man I love this song.

I Felt He was on Something when He did that whole Album."Condition Of The Heart" I dig the Arrangements&The Overall Feeling.but Him Singing Giggles like you do Cracked My Ass Up DAMN!I was like what The Hell is this Cat on??I Can't stand that Album.but Condition of The Heart depending on My Mood is Alright.I dig the Instrumentation&Arrangements more than anything though.the Lyrics Sound like a Hippie getting too Many LSD Hits IMHO.
