Oh, the org removed my only cellphone picture of a misty empty O2 arena on this thread, didn't know that was illegal too boxed

Wow, Jeffiner, BK111, row B, that was lower tier and right in front of the side of the prince , you must have had a great view eek

We had tickets for section BK F1, row E, seats 5-6 which actually turned out to be E1!, I was very happy, to say at least.
The pics here below aren't correct, don't know why.

Behind us was the aisle where the Twinz (are these small!) and his band walked in, I could have thouched them if I wanted to. Prince too but he sat in here.... funny biggrin

Mods, is this pic illegal too? boxed, if so, feel free to remove this one also.

Oh Wow, great seats you had too! Only downside from where I was sitting is that I didn't see any of this! But I was so close to P many times - it was fantastic, he spent a lot of time right in front of us. That box is really quite weird though - I take it he's not cholostrophobic lol What nights were you there CJ?

Sorry for the edits, can't figure out how to spell cholost....bla bla

It feels like 5 minutes ago....not in the photo, but you see where it says B3 on the right, and the couple sitting on 'top' of it? That's basically where I was sitting on 6 Sept. What about you?

On 7 August we were in Row K, BK 110, good seats too.

Claustrophobic lol

We went the 17th of August. I had 2 tickets for the 7th and 4 for the 17th (upper tier and floor) but was only able to go the 17th. If he walked to the back I had full view on him but he didn't walked as many times as I wanted to the back.

It does seem 5 minutes ago. I see myself clearly walking towards the Hilton Canary Warf hotel, being excited and seeing the O2 on my left, standing on the bridge. So strange, it seems that with the years, what used to be a month (in my memory) has become a week. I remember things so well and they happened years ago, weird shake

When did you go?

Oh yes, that looks much better, I think I'm losing all my brain cells!

I was there 7/8 and 6/9 + aftershow. I'll never forget going home on the last boat and gazing back at the Purple O2.... it was like a dream... such a great summer....

Funny story: there were two women sitting beside me on 6/9, who were a lot less 'enthusiastic' than me, shall we say! I kept throwing my arms out in ecstasy, and I'm sure I kept whacking the poor woman next to me. Somewhere, WAY in the back of my mind, I was thinking 'I really ought to apologise to that woman' but I didn't, I couldn't take my eyes off the stage for even a FRACTION of a second.... giggle

As for the diagram of the stage at the O2, my brother had that printed out, and it sat at the pc thru out the entire TM and Ebay frenzy. The TM version of the stage is actually inverted which is why it is false, not that it did not make much of a difference, but there was one cute fecker on ebay, who actually turned the stage round to sell tickets for the F sections at very unreasonable prices. We actually sent him a few posts about this.

My brothers first concert was on the 18th, in the upper tier, and the orginal tickets we had for my first show were also upper tier, but my brother went on ebay that day and got us two tickets for the floor in the A1 section, what a night. My first time seeing Prince in 12 yrs and the first time I saw a concert with my brother, naturally we had a ball. It was the beginning of a daft journey and serial concerts.

25th BK112 row B
28th BK C2 Row B
31st BK F2 row M

1st BK F3 row H great seats on the aisle, high fived with almost all the band
13th Bk E1 total mix up with the rows as the concert started early
16th Bk A1
20th Bk D1 row H seat 12 13, aisle, unreal seats probably best we got
21st BK 107 first tier, right beside the camera man lol

On the 20th, we went to see what seats we had got for the final show, and there was this girl behind where the camera is, and she asked us if we were ok, we said fine, we are just checking our seats for tomorrow night, she simply grinned at us, not beleiving a word. On the 21st, due to varios reasons we had to watch the first two songs from the soundboard which is featured in the production thread. When we finally made it to our seats by the camera, the girl from the night before just looked shocked

Anyway, we gave her a glow stick and told her enjoy the show wink

Ah the memories cool

Sorry about the long rant

Aw the clipper after the aftershows, that was brilliant craic, especially on the 31st and 1st, there was this massive singsong on the boat with everyone singing "oh funky London"

oh that memory falloff

It was not untill the 20th aftershow that I realised the boat docked under the Eye lol

lol That sounds great!

My boat was the last one, and only had about 10 people on it! There was a mad 'older' man with a symbol tambourine, who kept singing, and trying to take my hat! lol But the thing I remember most, was how QUIET it was sailing through London, as if we had the whole place to ourselves, like stolen time ... mushy

biggrin highfive

those lower tier seats were fantastic, in many cases far better than the floor seats, I had alot of reservations about floor seats as i knew the stage was quite high and most nights I missed the light show being on the floor, I never made it into the higher tier, but my brother has always told me I didnt miss much, so i will stick with that lol

Yes! That's a good idea and if possible smaller venues with only front view to the stage (no side or back tribunes), nice clubseats, good ventilation and some drinks. I'll just make sure this time that I arrive a day earlier so I attend his show brightly and well (and not all burnt up like last time).

When he was young he came an average of every three years, now I really don't want to think about how long it will take to have him come nearby, IF he will ever pass by again.

I really hope I still get to see him several times pray . I don't care if he has his ass down on a chair all night, whatever. Like the Art of Musicology from MTV, that was goooood.

i was in block B2 row C infact i am in my seat in the picture i hadnt realised it was me until you said the night the photo was taken lol

it was my last mainshow i thought i might as well finish them with one of the best shows and in a brilliant seat which i bought at about 3pm the same day, infact i think that was one of my favourite nights combiened with that aftershow nod

though i did go to 4 more aftershows but then i always prefered them to the mainshows woot!

the only other night i would have gone to if i could was the final night mainshow but i couldnt as i was flying back to the uk from switzerland to go to the aftershow stupid uni trips taking me away from london lol

i think i can happily look back on that summer with few regrets biggrin

oh funky london touched
