Hey, I just noticed, this thread is now a sticky and is on the home page. My first sticky/home page story ever!

They just showed the Prince video again. Now I can die a happy woman. Well, not really, but you all know what I mean.

2:45 pm, and they just showed the video on BET Now. I swear, the video they showed just now was different in he beginning that the one I previously saw. The video I saw yesterday, they began the video right at the part where Prince starts singing, they don't have any vidoe or sound for the instrumental part at the very beginning of the song. Today, they played the whole entire song (beginning with the instrumental part), and they showed Prince and the woman who is in the video outside walking (but they're not walking together, they film them separately). The sound was not very clear either, in fact, the sound even briefly cut out there for a second. But luckily it came back on again. Did anybody else catch it?

It seems like two versions, unless, if for some unknown reason, BET just didn't play the beginning (instrumental) part of the song the first two times I saw the video. That could be what happened, although that kind of doesn't make any sense to me. Don't know why they wouldn't play the entire song, but who knows for sure.

But I wrote a poem after watching it. And it sums up everything that came to mind while watching it the best that I could. Its very difficult to find the right words to describe Prince, let alone one of his videos, so bear with me.

I taped BET Now and boy did it pay off! I saw the video!!!!! The video is gorgeous and Prince looks great. It sets the perfect mode for the song. Dark and sad. The female in the video si one of the most beautiful women Prince has ever picked for a video. I'm just so happy with this. If you haven't seen this video, set your DVD-Tivos/DVD's/VCR's to BET Now at 1pm tomorrow. Prince did the damn thing again!

This morning it aired around 10:30 am and again at about 2:40pm. Twice was my limit for enduring the replay of the all the video's and all of the commercials.

Well, hell. I've had BET on and NOTHING so far. I may just have to wait until the video surfaces elsewhere. I can't take any more of the crap they call music on this channel. It's almost not worth subjecting myself to because it's a painful affirmation of how truly bad music has gotte. Back in the day, I would watch videos on BET for hours (and I'm white, btw).

On another note, what the hell is with this "Lil Mama" chick? "When I spit it's like mucus, gotta get rid of it". WTF kinda dumb-ass lyric is that?

Well, I was going to comment on it later after I got back from a meeting but, hmmmmm... I was thinking and wondering what the symbolism was with him wearing the blindfold, and him taking it off towards the end, when it says it's time to heal.... Of course my imagination is spinning all kinds of theories but I thought that was interesting enough for me to take notice of it. hmmmmm...


I guess I'll think about this some more and get back to it after I come back...
