With the release of Michael Jackson's 25th anniverary remix album, which by the way sucks with Fergie, Akon, Will.i.am and Kanye guesting on it, does anybody know if Warner Bros. would do something similiar. I would have to imagine it would be against the wishes and interests of Prince. A part of me would balk at it, but another part of me would be curious to hear how Alicia Keys would sound on "Beautiful Ones", or Beyonce would sound on "Baby I'm A Star" etc.

I'm boycotting Thriller25 because I'm sick of being cheated as an MJ fan with re-re-re-re-re-releases, but Purple Rain I would buy since it's only got the one edition.

A nice package would be nice, but god that Thriller 25 thing is tacky as hell, so if 1999 the new master is any indication, maybe its better left alone.

MJ's 25th anniversary is the bomb and I got it yesterday and I was impressed! It sounds great!

Oh and do not forget the first mix of "When Doves Cry" before Prince took out the bass line.

Everything you just said above and then some. Thriller IMHO was butchered with the remixes. A sped up pop/funk album got watered down by this new remixed version. THAT album will not be on my setlist for my show anytime soon. Now if I could get clearance to play Electric Intercourse I'd be a happy young lady. Hey, I've got ethics.
