Time+Rihana = LAME!

Bad on so many levels. It looked like a Disney production.

Musically they were not even as hot as Morris' touring band.

So the Grammys approach Prince...we want to do a tribute to the Beatles and we want you to do a solo. Prince says let me think about it. He then insists that the Time be allowed to perform. Otherwise why is the Time pairing with Rhiana? Do Jam and Lewis produce her....it was a little odd

In anycase good seeing the fellas

Amazing to think in 25+ years, he only has 7. Some artists win 5 or 6 in one night.

So true! It's really unbelievable he’ll have only 7 after 2night if it’s true he won 4 Best Male Artist. I feel Prince has been cheated in so many ways with all the no talented artist of 2day. I must say back in the day they had much better talent then they have now. I see why awards means nothing because it’s a bunch of crap, but I love when he wins one. lol

THere is no way Prince shouldnt have at least twice that many Grammys. Oh well - he still is rcognized as the baddest man on the planet even without them. The fact that he can still pull them almost 25 years after Purple Rain is amazing.

Prince has won 3 Grammy's in three years....How many has he won total? Who would have thought Prince would win three Grammy’s in the span of three years but he didn't win won from 1987-2004? Amazing what a performance on "their" show can do for you.... confused

Notice how Prince never goes on stage to get his award? It's either presented before or he isn't in the building.

Congrats to P on his win for "FBM". Is he still up for Song of the Heart?

I love Rihanna and I looooove The Time but I felt like that performance was a rehash of Beyonce and Prince...I mean even tho Rihanna and The Time was good it was kinda like the afterparty.

Prince looked incredible and The Time sounded cool though Rihanna was a hot mess. Still cool though.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

A pair of R&B legends won awards as well, with Prince nabbing the Best Male R&B Vocal Performance for "Future Baby Mama" and Chaka Khan taking Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals for "Disrespectful" (featuring Mary J. Blige); Khan also won Best R&B Album for Funk This, which denied buzzed-about singer Ledisi one of her two potential Grammys. Lupe Fiasco made his pal Kanye proud with a Best Urban/Alternative Performance for "Daydreamin' " from his 2006 debut, Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor.

sigh

I forget sometimes... this is one of those things that can ruin my week (or at least the first couple of days).

Someone already spoiled the win 4 me... and then they just come right out and say that he won.
I mean, c'mon. Couldn't they have gone around, showing people in their seats and have him come up? rolleyes
And my TV signal sux cuz I could barely hear a word he said...

People hype too much around here and got my hopes up for no reason disbelief

BUT The Time was good... I guess Morris was following Prince's lead by wearing sunglasses to cover up his aging eyes... not as much as he used to, but its cool to know that he can still move nod
Rihanna kinda just did her own thing. The two didn't really mesh too well together. But after the song ended, Morris did the "what time is it?" pose to Rihanna, which I found hilarious giggle

The Time did very well nod

hmmm well, they got Prince out of the way really early... well, if he's gonna perform at all, they might sneak him in for last shrug never hurts to hope, I guess.

The thing with Prince @ award shows that ticks me off... it just ends way too fast for me falloff he's there and then he's gone after a minute.
Almost like "hey, did u see a Prince come thru here?"
"Yeah, u just missed him." shrug
had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone
