'88 aftershow at the camden palace? i was watching this documentary, i believe it's called "the prince of paisley park" (it's the one where he's working with mavis staples on "god is alive", plays "the ladder" at the end, etc.). at the very beginning eric clapton is talking, then it cuts to p singing "ooh ooh hoo, ooh ooh ooh hoo" , before he kicks down the mic stand and goes into what looks like a kick-ass guitar solo. the first time i saw it i was like , i MUST hear this full performance . anyways, i read up on it and apparently it is from an aftershow in '88 at the camden palace in london??? my guess was that it was another awesome take on "just my imagination" (i the small club version ), but i could be wrong. it looks SO . anyone hear this whole thing? any info on this is greatly appreciated! to die happily, you must seek out the aftershow...just my imagination - sheer excellence (pity about the sound quality of the lyrics) Wouldn't you love to love me?

Parts of that aftershow circulate but not the whole show unfortunately. The best version is a CD called 'Driving To Midnight Mass' so I'm told. I only have the show on an LP called 'Rogers Nelson' sound quality is far from perfect but it's a kinda cool boot anyway. if you've gotta pay for things that you've done wrong I've gotta big bill coming at the end of the day- Gil Scott Heron

the bootleg sort of cuts out during 'dead on it'
but as you saw mr.nelson has THE FULL GIG in perfect quality and we will never see it

quick update: i heard the whole thing and it is pretty awesome. i must say i still the small club version a bit better, because this one takes a bit longer to get to the "good part", you know. . but it rocks. the full performance still eludes me though. guess i'll have to die unhappy.
