Don't you guys like surprises?

Prince said this during his first televised interview on MTV when it was asked of him what the next album (Parade) and UTCM would be like.

I’m sure this is nothing new, but lately, every other thread feels repetitive to some degree. Today, however, I’ve found plenty a thread asking either: where Prince is? What is he going to do next? Where will he appear next? When will his next album come out? What will it be like?

Everyone’s so antsy about what Prince’s next move is. Almost like they’re afraid that just because Prince has been away from the public eye that he’s disappeared. This has been going on since he left London. Can nobody let Prince relax and wait and see what happens instead of constantly insisting that he reveal his “motives” or “2-do list” for this year?

Am I the only one who isn’t too concerned about his next move until he actually makes it? Instead of speculating, playing guessing games?

Seriously, can nobody let the man breathe for a minute? falloff

Am I only one who’d rather be surprised than speculate and end up disappointed because I “got it wrong”? I don't try to guess Prince's next move(s) because they don't necessarily concern me @ present (got enough keeping me busy) and I don't know enough to make any type of "educated guess"

I'm not the least bit concerned. Partly because he's being such a douchebag, but also because I know that it's going to be the same thing he's done the last 6 or 7 times in a row now. Which is fine. But it's hardly grounds for keeping me up nights with suspense.

I suppose you gotta keep yourself occupied in the Prince: Music and More forum somehow whilst you wait...

Yes, I like surprises!! cool

I'm not too fussed for where he is, when/where his next concert will be or when his next album will materialise.

I only want to know how the interior decoration is going at his new house.

I would be surprised if I got an invite to his house warming party!!!razz

cool cool

Even Prince sang it himself..."Don't worry about what people say, it ain't gonna stop em' anyway."

I believe that if these comments bothered Prince...that He would just ignore the computer.

Too bad he doesn't seem capable of following his own advice.

I myself love surprises! I am also happy that Prince is taking time off. He was going like the energizer bunny for a while between Vegas and London. A person needs time to reflect and meditate, enjoy other aspects of life. In doing this comes more inspiration and we know the GREAT results of inspiration. smile

Go on Princey baby! Take all the time you need. I know you are music and that when you are ready, if you are ever ready again to release something it will be BEAUTIFUL!!!

I wish you ALL the best. I wish you love, I wish you heaven.
Amen

Interesting replies so far...

but I see that nobody who's been pressing for these answers is replying here and saying that they don't have the patience to "wait and see" what's going to happen next. And that was the reaction I was more/less expecting, but it's good to know that I'm not the only one NOT waiting with baited breath to see what he'll do next.

What is it? Have you heard anything?
Is it a new album?

I have not heard anything as of yet. Other than him being @ the Grammys presenting. Unless I see anything solid, I don't really believe rumors all that much because a lot of the time, they're completely off.

Surprises I've had so far was Prince releasing an album the first year I was officially following his career... and the little gems on it that continues to prove for me that you really can't guess what he'll do. And I mean that in the best possible way. That's why I love 2b surprised by him cool
