Never happened such thing to me. I always find in his music what I need.

Never felt like had "lost it", but a song that certainly reminded me that could still quite effectively move my booty was "Love" on "3121".

Around 2005, I really wondered if Prince remembered how to make a dance song. It had been so long since he had done one, I was afraid that he had stopped doing them. Then I heard Black Sweat. A new Prince song hadn't gotten me excited in around maybe 10 years or more the way BS did when it came out. Then came 3121, with 3121, Lolita, Black Sweat and Love. That CD proved that he can still make me dance with new material and it's part of why I love that CD so much.

Actually it wasn't a new song. It was around D&P, era, and I thought he'd lost something.

I listened to Condition of the Heart on headphones, and the technique & thought that went into that song (created by one person) made me realize that even if Prince had lost anything, he was still miles beyond most other musicians.

It made me listen closer to the music I didn't like, and learn to hear what captured his interest in it, even if it wasn't what I wanted him to be doing at the time.

Also, the Rainbow Children was a very nice surprise.
