I can't remember who wrote Hide The Bone on Crystal Ball, but I think it's Prince...

not exactly on an album, but there's also the cd single "U Make My Sun Shine"... it includes the B-side "When Will We B Paid?", a cover version of a 1970 song by The Staple Singers.

He's done a few covers here and there on officially-released live stuff . . .

• Whole Lotta Love from Vegas/Aladdin
• Honky Tonk Woman from Undertaker

There's also a cover of Brick House on Mayte's album called House Of Bricks. Prince's vocals are featured a lot on that track (basically a duet).

Not on his album, but Prince did a cover of Jimi Hendrix' (Red)Purple House. It's on the Power Of Soul tribute. Very worthwhile. Prince also released Habibi as a download, which is a nod to Machine Gun by Hendrix.
