Where can I find 'em??

Of course, the "For U" & "Prince" lps are full of 'em and maybe in 1+1+1=3 but what about the early 80's stuff?? Did he eva played a synthsizer "SOLO"??

It wasn't played by him but "Head" is a great solo.

So is the breakdown in "Extralovable".

"When You Were Mine" and "Do it All Night" from 'Dirty Mind' are both played by Prince.

"Lady Cab Driver" from '1999' has a quick 8-bar synth solo (multi-tracked, I believe) after one of the choruses.

"My Computer" from 'Emancipation' is a cool recent one.

and who could forget the INCREDIBLE synth work on "Let's Work" from 'Controversy'? Almost as great as the bassline...Funky stuff!!!

Wierd that Prince hasn't had many synth solos (played by him or anyone else for that matter) since Fink left. Maybe now that 'Nato is in the band, the wierd synth solo will make a re-appearance in the man's new stuff!

I think Prince is funky when it comes down 2 them synthsizer's but something tells me that he doens't wanna pull the mean playing like Fink does. I think he want 2 be mean mostly in Guitar & Bass.

Its a shame that he doesn't pull these actions anymore. I hear a lot of Funky paino/synthsizer's work these days but none of them by Prince. Like this funky stomping paino solo in Sex in the Summer that was WILD and MEAN but the only messed up thing is, its by Ricky Peterson not that its bad but I always thought that was Prince till I read the credit.
