I felt that a lot of the lyrics were just thrown together without much thought, and musically, I felt that the album is lacking. At least 3121 was diverse and offered SOME substance. Every song on PE, with the exception of the title track, is instantly forgettable. I hate it, and I don't care how Prince feels about the reactions. Put out some quality stuff, Prince and maybe your fans will be more forgiving for your guilty pleasures.
Some of us believe that he is still putting out quality music. I'm just glad he's not selling out like some of his peers working with who's ever the hottest producers of today. I love PE and I think it's a breath of fresh air from today's music. Good point. Everytime I see one of those "Which producer should Prince work with?" threads, I cringe. I'm actually surprised how much I dug Lion of Judah.
I saw the title, and thought the worst, fearing another "Go get saved" annoyance ala The Word on 3121. After listening to the track fairly frequently over the past few months, I think it's one of the best tracks on the record - Not what I was expecting. I've seen the future, and boy it's rough...

If y'all hate Planet Earth so much,
why don't y'all just get into a spaceship & leave?
