One of my favorite things on that album are the creaks of either a rocking chair or his piano pedals or a boat or WHAT IS IT? in "Sometimes it snows in april" I used to cry EVERY time I listened to that one.

The slow groove of I Wonder U..and the ending of it with that heaviness...and that muted horn throughout..and the girls laid back vocal...and the geetar picking at the very end

I don't think that's a geetar...I think it's a bass recorded at half-speed (like he did on 'Last Heart' and 'La, La, La, He, He, Hee'

In UTCM where Prince goes "thats alright" in the breakdown bridge..and U can hear the horns having a field day with headphones

I may be wrong about this, but I think Prince says "that's alright" because he's telling the horn player that he doesn't mind that he made a mistake. I think he was supposed to double Prince's piano solo, but as you can hear, he started later than Prince. I think Prince was telling him that he didn't mind the error and to just keep going.

...or maybe not...

This is Amazing RD and I'll tell ya now. When this album came out nobody from the Prince gang I knew was like really down with it except on Anotherlover,Mountains or Kiss. Funny,I told my Friends this album was MUSICALLY Perfect. It actually is. Very well Produced and it just Blended so Smoothly and all. Everybody Laughed and said Perfect? This was the start of what I call Perfect Music on Prince's part. O.k. so not being a Musician myself this album did it to me with the way he started Christopher Tracy's Parade. Each and every song fit so Perfectly into the next one. It was Brilliant. It was telling a story. It was Intercourse! Think about it. It Flowed and it just Climaxed at the right time. It was Peeks and ebbs and Valleys and Mountains. It was the Giant O and at the Finale it was Sometimes It Snows In April. Now nobody hasn't Cried to this song. Folks UTCM is one big Climax that Releases you and yes,you will Cry at the End. Men go through this album and you will sort of Know what it is like for a woman to Come! That is if you can Feel IT! Put on Earphones. Sit in the Dark. You Will experience ORGASM! Funny, but did anybody ever realize that the last song on Prince's albums is the ORGASM? Try to Experience his Music I think the way it should be Felt and probably as a Musician, but I'm not that just a writer. Do U Feel the Vibe? I always do. I Hope you Can too!

The only thing I really dislike about Parade is CT's Parade...its so silly but its growing on me...thia is funny in a way. From Dirty Mind, Controversy, Nikki and then he opens with CT's Parade? This is a good and a bad thing...he went from bad boy of punk funk to singing CT's Parade? I know I was pissed and I HATED Parade at first--for years. Even Prince hated it..in DMSR its reported by Susan Rogers that Prince was laying face down kickin because it was in the can and he disliked it lol..I love that part (if its true). I see Parade as a cinema piece too..all the build up and plot on the first half...then Mountains is the beginning to bring it all home to the denoument. What a journey. BTW thanbks for all the positive comments..Im taken aback seriously.

Check it out Rd maybe you didn't feel it Enough! 17 days as an Orgasm? Excellent song and all but different not an Orgasm that is more like a chant and just a Jungle kinda Beat. That's also a Purple Rain song and maybe that was somewhere with Prince's and Vanity's Love scenes and all. Don't know. Vibrator is the song about Orgasm of course, but I would reckon that Feel on Parade. Sometimes,is Definitely Bittersweet. How can ya Not Cry or Show/Feel Emotion to it? Even the Lyrics are Sad,yet Redeaming. And ALL GOOD THINGS THEY SAY NEVER LAST! AND LOVE IT ISN'T LOVE UNTIL IT'S PAST! HEARTBREAKING ACTUALLY! I Am A Hopeless Romantic...UTCM A VERY ROMANTIC COMEDIC FILM!

Well, all of the songs from Purple Rain are just Wonderful you know. I think between that album ,1999 and ATWIAD well the B-sides were so Great. Really Fun and all. Everybody just says Another Lonely Christmas is so Sad. I remember hearing a story from a driver from Dave-El Rocky that Prince once came to N.Y. around Christmas and just had no family or anything to spendthe Holidays with and he just came to N.Y. City to look at the Skyscrapers and feel Happy and all. God,all the drivers were so damn Nice. But Dave-El was the Original Limo service with Rocky. God,I can't believe when Prince had Alan Leeds as a Manager and I can't Believe when he came out of the Essex House with WENDY,SUSANNA and Kristen. I was just a kid seeing that whole scene and then My friends raced in their cars after him to get to the Palladium's back and he Ordered Pizza to eat.Alan was outside talking and at the Essex and When Prince came out I was like just talking to him and he was just smiling. He stopped and stared right through me and everybody I was with was like just Freaking and I said that day something Strange Happened. No one could touch me,but they wanted to touch me because Prince was close to me and I was like no you can't touch me get Away. What was it? It was a very Strange Feeling for me.

I thought you were sweet on me? What happened to twist ya again? You can't stand when I talk about stuff like this huh? But listen,it's what happened so why not talk about what somebody told me or my feelings. Not saying anything wrong. Why would it be wrong for me to say this? do you really Think Prince would Even Care? I don't or else I wouldn't tell this. If he cares then he should let me know. I don't think my comments should phase him as much ever. If they do I am truly Sorry and never meant it to. I think he would Know that. I hope if he ever hears any of this he doesn't Ever get mad.

Actually, the song that got me into Prince in the first place was Mountains. It was so fresh and different to anything that was in the charts at that time so I went out and bought the 12". And once I heard the extended version and the Alexa De Paris B-Side, that was it, hooked for life!

That's fun, cuz it was also the song that got me hooked on Prince. The thing was that I had heard and seen Purple Rain and ATWIAD but it wasn't until I bought my first single ever "Mountains" that I was hooked. Been there ever since.

Looking forward 2 going 2 concert in Copenhagen 2morrow !!!

I had When Does Cry and 1999 in my record collection by the time Mountains came out, but that was it. The great thing is, once my brother heard I loved Mountains, for Christmas he went and bought me all of Prince's albums on vinyl up to and including Parade. I spent the whole of Christmas day and boxing day listening to all the albums back-to-bacl. I'd love to do that again one day!
