Oh my God.

That song was just so captivating the first time I heard it live. I barely noticed it while it was playing in the "Grafitti Bridge" movie, but when I played the video from the Nude tour, I was just captivated and spellbound.

Just expression, the way the guitar almost seemed to cry as Prince played it. I couldn't remember the last time I had been so moved and caught up by a song.

It truly is in my stack of favorites.

He played the instrumental of this gorgeous song in one of the O2 shows I went to, it was so great as I never expected it to feature in a 'greatest hits' type playlist!! It merged straight into The One which does have a similar kind of sound if you play them back to back.

One of his all-time best, IMO.

There's a wonderful live version of this at the end of one of the Ahdio Shows from the old NPGMC. He starts to sing the lyrics, then just breaks off and goes into a wonderful guitar solo -- almost like he was feeling it so much he couldn't wait to let the guitar sing instead.

Anyone know where/when this performance originally took place?

i like it. it's okay. my fave off that album, for right now, is elephants and flowers and the unreleased alternate version .
