Mine is not going to see the musicology tour because I wasn't a big enough fan, then.
I will never stop kicking my ass for that b/c I may very well never see him live.

Mine was not even knowing his songs(apart from 2) and also what a great musician this guy is.But alas 2 years on i hav 24 of his albums.you see my mother knows i love music.she also noticed that i had no Prince albums in my collection(cuz she used 2 love him when she was younger) and told me i should listen 2 his music. So she went shopping the next day and came back with Musicology and thats where my love 4 the Purple 1 began.Altho my mums gettin back into him now and i hav noticed his albums from my room keep dissapearing and reappering My dad cant stand him he says 'Prince more like f***ing Princess' but what would he know about music he likes Duran Duran and ABBA So when i do play Prince albums me and my mum turn the volume up 2 piss him off [Edited 1/20/08 13:35pm] Everybody's looking 4 the ladder

Deciding to travel to Regina rather than closer Winnipeg, in order to save 50 bucks and see Maceo on the Rainbow Children/One Night Alone tour.
As fine as Maceo was, It was have been great to see a longtime Revolutionist in Eric Leeds. The stinker was he played Winnipeg on his birthday, and maybe because of that he played an aftershow to 400 or so people. I was crushed when I saw he played the later show, did Hendrix and Zep covers, and much of his lesser played stuff. I remember distinctly jogging with a future cop that night and having to race home halfway in terrible discomfort. Perhaps my body was punishing me. I digress. Should not have been cheap and saw both shows and the 30 dollar aftershow really. While I am regretting, It was only a 7 hour pilgrimage down to Minny and Paisley Park, would have been nice to see him perform there too. merf

came to my town about 10 years ago. I didn't have a whole lotta extra money so I didn't go. There was a rumor going around that he was going to play this little club in my town after the concert. I thought it was bullshit and since I really hated that club, I didn't go to that either. Lo and behold, there was a big article in the paper about Prince showing up and performing at the club. Prince concerts were not as pricey back then. I probably could have come up with the $30 somehow. I really do regret not going to either of these performances. Shake it til ya make it

If your Dad prefered Duran Duran to "f***ing Princess", perhaps "f***ing Princess" wasn't wearing quite enough make-up for your Dad's liking. And though I clearly don't know your Dad, but how f***ing GAY is ABBA!?!?

UGHHHHH It was the Nashville Hit and Run Tour and I was on the second row with my husband and his best friend when Prince called me up on stage and I just absolutley froze.....freaked out and froze. I just could not imagine ass-shakin in front of my mentor. I woke up the next morning and cried till noon. My husband was like "I told you that you were gonna regret that one."..... it never pays to be so self-conscious!

And though I clearly don't know your Dad, but how f***ing GAY is ABBA!?!? Ha, ha!!! Too true. If you thought that Prince had the Monopoly on frilly ruffled shirts and heavey make-up circ '83 - '84 then Wrong - WRONG!!! Nick Rhodes from Duran Duran easily holds that crown - that man's sponsored by Rimmel! My regret is choosing not to go to see NPG act 1 live because it was at a stadium and not an arena. Previously to it I didn't enjoy the Diamonds and Pearls shows at Earls court and didn't think I was missing much. A few months later I saw the one off NPG act 2 show at Wembley arena and it was and still is one of my favourite live shows of his. Wish I'd gone to the stadium now. Life's a Parade!
