I'm going to recommend The Gold experience! It is his best '90's album and I think you'll love it!!!

I am more of an '80's fan myself (you need parade/sott/lovesexy), but I thing you'll initially prefer gold!

You got to replace your 3121 album though because that's his best one this decade!

Finally, yes it's as boring as recommendations get, but get the Purple Rain soundtrack already, wtf?

This is a sweet idea for a thread. When I first came here, I made my own threads inviting people to tell me what albums I should get.

I've been here around less time than honey, much less... but I own a bunch of material. Not all of it, but I'm comfortable with stopping after 2 more albums.

As for recommendations, I just got through it.

No Prince collection is complete w/o Sign o' the Times. And from what I hear, the assiocated DVD is a must-have as well, but I don't have that.

Parade, I'd also recommend. I didn't consider it for months, but when I got it, I'm embarassed to think that I didn't want it... it blew me away.

And Dirty Mind & Controversy, two others I didn't want, I got and was really impressed with. Especially Dirty Mind. And Controversy is worth it just for "Do me baby".
