it would b cool if maxwell took a try at a cover song cause he blazed it with "this woman's work" worship

darren hayes's version of i wish u heaven is cool as well cool

He did "thieves in the temple" too.

Yep, I Like that one a lot also. They took the song to places Prince didn't dare or couldn't go. Outstanding cover which actuallu added to the song..

Pity his cover of the Foo Fighters' song didn't do the same....

did he really? how was it cause i might have 2 track that one down
man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

cool Sinead's version of "Nothing Compares 2 U" is the best cover of a Prince song. Chaka's "I Feel 4 U" is another.

nod they're #1 & #2 unless you want to count the Time's music as "Prince covers" smile

I was listening to Dump's 'That Skinny MF with the High Voice?' today. A low-fi (4-track I think) Prince covers album. Some really interesting covers. You should check it out.

And everyone, avoid Ice-T's cover of Head. Really. REALLY.

What are you talking about? Sinead's version of Nothing Compares 2 U is approximately 800,000 times better than any version by Prince or The Family.

I've heard the intro to "I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man" covered by The Eels. It's on iTunes and it sounds promising. I quite like The Eels, so I might buy the new compilation album with this on it.

I think Chaka did a nice version of Don't Talk To Strangers and Jill Jones with With You. Those are two remakes I like equally to the original versions.
