Dirty Mind vs 1999 im going with 1999 simply because it has Little Red Corvette.....  but then again Dirty Mind has When You Were Mine....no ill stick with 1999  Everybody's looking 4 the ladder

If were talking Album Cover i say "Dirty Mind" (i know the inset of '1999' has sexy photo of Prince too, but "Dirty Mind wins that one); however,i know ur talking music and i would say "1999" because every song is out of this world Fantastic. "Dirty Mind" i LOVE all the songs too, more so the first 6, but i choose "1999" . | |

another tough choice...
umm... 1999 for sure. It shows so many different sides of Prince... one of his finest hours of the 80's. And Little Red Corvette, International Lover, 1999 and Lady Cab Driver go down as some of my all-time favorites. The concept that Dirty Mind eventually spun definitely something that alerted people to how far he was willing to go... When u were mine is definitely a great song, loved it from the moment I heard it. had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone | |

To me, 1999 is THE Prince album. That is what I think when I think Prince.
Lady cab driver, 1999, Something in the water, Little Red Corvette, Free, Automatic and DMSR, are all incredible tracks to me. Its my favorite album by him. It has alot of hard hitting tracks. One after another. [Edited 1/21/08 15:36pm] | |

1999 was something fresh, new, and totally from the future. I love Dirty Mind, but I don't believe anything by anyone not even by Prince himself can top 1999. | |

there is no comparison between the two....Dirty Mind is hit or miss and a great introduction

Some of his Albums made room for the next, without dirtymind there is not room for Controversy without Controversy there is no 1999. We all want a big hit again because
we want to relive the Hysteria & Pandemonium we experienced when Purple Rain was Hot. Actually, he doesn't care if it happens again or not. | |

Oh, no comparison 1999.
Dirty Mind was a huge jump from his first 2 albums and the start of his more punky/new wave sound!!! 1999 was where he perfected it. An amazingly complete album with some of his best b-sides to match!!! Life's a Parade! LoveLife, LoveSexy! | |
