Whoa, I finally saw Prince's RnR hall of fame performance (While my guitar gently weeps) Holy shit it was amazing. That is definitaley my favorite performance ever. It was beautiful and flawless.
I know its probably been discussed into the ground but let me gush. Oh Lawd, he was amazing. I almost started crying. And how cool was that little move where he falls onto his back and keeps playing without missing a beat? The look on the young guitarists face (Harrison's son?) was priceless. I have a coupla gigabytes worth of live recordings and his solo here is definately the best I have EVER heard. It was magic and so heartfelt.

I also have U2´s induction, which was great as well, but P had the audience on their feet for the entire performance, especially the 3 rd track he does, with the "soul man intro", all the tux people simply lose control, brilliant is an understatement. The expression on Harrisons face is priceless during WMGGW, an odd piece of trivia about that song, it is one of the few orginal beatles songs ever to have been on the soundtrack of a film, which had nothing to do with the beatles. The film is a cult classic, made in England called "Withnail and I" also has some very rare Jimi Hendrix tracks, and the King Curtis`s last ever performance of "whiter shade of pale" If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

i've only seen footage of wmggw but what a performance! it was magical & is a real clincher 4 anyone who doubts p as a guitarist.
i mean u got all those other guys there, all fab musicians & then p appears & the stage comes alive. i remember feeling gob smacked after & then rewind & rewind! everytime i'd notice something else... he's such a show off & gave new life 2 the song which i think is pretty dull really damn he made it sexy. falling backwards has got 2 b the funniest move i've seen & the atitude at the end when he throws the guitar..& it seems as tho it just disappears! just the angle of the footage ,i know, but still cool. he really enjoyed himself methinks. his outfit tht night is probably my favourite. he's gorgeous in red. fucking handsome as

Yeah, I was very happy for P and was glad as hell that he played the guitar like he did. I thought it was fitting. Very good performance. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

I show this performance to many non Prince fans to get opinions on Prince's guitar playing. No one has said anything negative. Most are amazed and said they didnt know Prince was that good.
