I agree, and seriously.....do we need to actually have to like him as a person to appreciate his excellence as a musician and a performer.

Regardless of his personal beliefs or how he conducts himself or his life, it will never take away the fact that there is no other person on this planet that makes me feel what what I do when I listen to his music, watch his videos and see him perform.....

And so in return for this in appreciation I will make allowances and forgive him for his crazy actions and leave the man to his own devices to do whatever makes him happy!!!!

I think it is ridiculous to say that Prince is a HORRIBLE person. One can look at all the charitable things that he has done over the years for countless people and see that he is not a HORRIBLE person.

He has given so much money to charities as well as performed benefit concerts, held food drives, set aside tickets for kids at concerts, etc. He has done this for decades.

He has given many musicians opportunities, which have been the catalyst for them to have long, successful careers. Some of them might have had careers as musicians, but not of the magnitude that they had/have after the exposure Prince gave them - people like Wendy, Lisa, Candy Dulfer, Morris Day, even Sheila E. as talented as she is, Prince made her a superstar.

He's launched or helped expand the careers of many people, many ex-girlfriends like Vanity, Carmen Electra, Mayte, etc. They would never have had the fame/careers that they had/have without their relationship to Prince.

He's kept several former band members on his payroll long after they left the band. He's also given former associates songs that turned out to be the biggest hits of their careers.

He's breathed life into the careers of many veteran musicians by giving them opportunities to record at PP, writing music for them and having them tour with him.

He's given more to his fans than many other artists of his caliber - the celebrations, three decades of AMAZING concerts and performances, three decades of quality music, affordable concert tickets, the NPG music club concert perks (pre-sales, preferred seating, early entrance, after shows). Yet many of these so-called fans complain and/or criticize at the drop of the dime.

There are also the spontaneous acts of kindness that he has shown throughout the years that are too many to mention, but I think of recent things like buying Cora a custom drum set after he met her, before she even joined his band.

I also know people who have worked with him who have told me good stories about their experiences working with him. I also know some who have had good and bad experiences. He's a perfectionist, which makes him a demanding boss and some people just can't hang with that. One thing is true though, he never asks for more than he gives.

At the end of the day, as I said, he is a human being. He is not perfect - no one is. He's made mistakes. However, I think it is extremely unfair to call him a HORRIBLE person. Is he a saint, no. Are you?
