little red corvette

what a song it is.even today
catchy as hell,
a true pop masterpiece.annie lennox favourite prince jam cool
biggrin biggrin biggrin

it was simular to the sound of the 80's decade but yet so diffrent then all other 80's music.
and princes singing on that song is amazing.
it's one of his songs that only he can sing in
the right way(think on "i know i know "part from purple rain).

even if prince stoped recording music then it would

be hailled as one of his best song,a song some artist

could only wish they can make but they never could(yeah i'm thinking on you van on the jungle floor hunt dude)

Add to the fact that it took years for the industry to work out the song wasn't actually about "a car"!

And all that prime time airplay!!!

A true masterpiece.

Fantastic song. Lyrically one of my favourites. Vocally excellent and the production kicked serious ass back in '82. The first Prince song I ever heard, I think.

This summer I think he played it every night that I saw him. Beautiful at the piano.

Mine, too. If someone is having trouble grasping the concept of a metaphor, all you have to do is break this one out. cool
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Yeah, all that double meaning with the trojan horse imagery is one of the best things he ever came up with - inspired

If it were not for insanity, I would be sane.

Brilliant lyrics, with the exception of the 'used trojans' ill
I would love to show him the place where my horses run free and he wouldn't have to worry about other jockeys. Plus I think he is the perfect size for a professional jockey biggrin

The double meaning he achieves there is the very essence of the songs lyrics. Genius - disgusting, but genius.
