We were all getting ready for Prince at the Superbowl? What a differnce a year makes

I miss that feeling, he was Soooo much better than anyone even thought he would be, and he's back in Miami NOW!

My friend was over from New York (I live London UK) and he wanted to watch the Superbowl.

As I have satellite channels it was decided he would stay over and we would have a big night as it was being shown in the early hours of the morning!!!

Can you believe that I didn't know that Prince was the half time act until a few hours before the start of the Superbowl?????

I lost it!!!! Way more than he did watching the actual game.

He's never looked at me the same, and the neighbours still don't talk to me!

He rocked!!!!!and I Loved it!!

I believe the Super Bowl was one of the great moments in Prince history. "Purple Rain" in the rain, the fact that the world was watching and the fact that all of us purple people could go to work the next day and have everyone saying "Your boy rocked it last night..." made it an amazing performance...
I think it was one of those moments that Prince was everything we all know he can be..

The start of it with We Will Rock You going on and then loads of thunder and rods of lightning hitting the arena and then he appears from the stage

"You better take my picture...I dont care about this rain!"

It was the only time I've ever been excited about a football game. Unless the players are playing in the nude this year, they can have their little dull game.

yeah i remember ..i was pysched when the press conference happend then seeing news footage of the symbol stage, then the superbowl per4mance happend and my jaw just dropped.....





at how lame it was!!!!! where he should have opened with the horn lines from 3121 instead we get the same tired ass songs from 23 years ago i had people asking me "damn doesn't he have any songs past 1984?" and i told them, u know he does cause 3121 is a slamming album and he had the right tool 2 market that album right there..but no ..what a wasted opportunity 2 show 2 the world, "hey i have more songs than the ones y'all already know 2 death" instead he came off like a perfect nostalgic act not relevant in 2day's music..

Yup, that was awesome. The only time where I sat through a significant portion of football (ew, sports!) just so that I wouldn't miss a second of the performance, and it was worth it.

I was also pretty upset that I missed Prince at the Hard Rock a few days earlier. SO close to me, but the tickets were sold out by the time I got home after hearing the radio commercial.

I'm gonna cry
