Should the back catalogue be Re-Certified yet? i always used to see artists' back catalogues updated with new sales figures and RIAA certifications on billboard.
wondering if Prince's older albums need any updating.. Are Parade and SOTT doulbe platinum yet? Has Lovesexy gone platinum yet? just wondering if anyone has any inside scoop....

Everything that is known about Prince album sales in the USA and a bit all over the world is collected in the following thread in the UKMix forum "Chart Analysis":
http://www.ukmix.org/foru...hp?t=37099 Answering to your question i would say: i'm 99% sure the following albums should have their RIAA certifications updated: "Purple Rain" to 14xPlatinum (around 2.5-million copies sold since 1991) "Parade" to 2xPlatinum (230,000 copies sold 1991-2005) for the following albums there is a strong probability of an update anytime "For You" to Gold (90,000 copies sold 1991-2005) "Dirty Mind" to Platinum (125,000 copies sold 1991-2005) "Lovesexy" to Platinum (70,000 copies sold 1991-2005) "The Hits 1" to 2xPlatinum No other Prince album seems to be needing updates from RIAA. The albums that are closer to a future (still some years of catalog sales) RIAA upgrade are: "Around the World in a Day" with estimated present sales of 2.9-million (160,000 copies sold 1991-2005) "Sign of the Times" with estimated present sales of 1.85-million (270,000 copies sold 1991-2005) "The Hits 2" with estimated present sales of 1.8-million
