Never one to not admit when Prince releases sub par material but i've always felt this tune gets a really bad rep. Sure the production sucks big time, but vocally this song is absolutely superb. One of his best performances in years and some killer guitar work. This song is tight, sweaty funk. Anyone agree?

Hell yes its underrated...but not by me. Why u screamin? Beautiful. Production wise yeah it sucks..but it still is a good song.

I just don't understand it. Some people are programmed to believe that if a album isn't that good, then every song on it, must stink!

That is sooo not the case. And ManOWar is proof of that.

The song is down right beautiful...just like 'Eye Hate U'; I'm sure we can 'all' relate to what he's sayin in the song...We've all been there...

I expected ManOwar to be played on the R&B stations, it never got there...

It's funny cuz when my brother and I were actually imagining singles from the album, we said that we could envision Missy doing the remix for "Man O War". And even though she didn't it sure sounds like she did. I was so excited when I first heard that.

I love this song. It's probably my favorite off of Rave. I found myself singing this song at work when it came out. It's definetly was underrated. If Arista had given the song a chance, it would have been big.

I've noticed that too. There certainly was some sort of effort to recreate the structure of the album. The song chemistry was meant to interact between the different songs the same kind of way. I refuse to comment on how half-arsed it might have turned out to be, because this is one of my all-time favourite albums when I'm playing the old Robin Hood computer game. Long story. You wouldn't be interested to hear it all the way through though... but it does involve sex.
