Prince made 8 million GBP from London gigs According to the London Paper today who had an article on the success of the O2 venue they reported that Prince made £8 million from his 21 nights! keerrrching!
They also said "The standard was set for gugs at the O2 by Prince" 'I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally. He's with our son now.' Mayte 21st April 2016 = the saddest quote I have ever read! RIP Prince and thanks for everything.

They also said "The standard was set for gugs at the O2 by Prince" Ah, yes, but is that before they have deducted his clipper fares? 21 nights in London.. thats 42 journeys (there and then back to the hotel). All adds up. So, i'd say 8 mil is a little wide of the mark there.

That'll buy a lot o' lawyers. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

pretty ace, especially considering the tickets were a truly fantastic price compared to so many other of the artists. Wouldn't you love to love me?

Awful article. Gav mate I certainly wasn't commenting on the quality of the London Paper However, his revenue was obviously in that ballpark with a minimal of overhead in comparison to a tour that actually, ahem, tours! good now he can take that money and dig up the artist formerly known as prince from 1994 and put prince back in the grave man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

If they say it was £8million it was around 5 then tax, bills etc
They always talk complete shit and overestimate someone's earnings

Mr Nelson was paid differently to a percentage of the revenues. AEG were in control of profits this time

[Edited 1/14/08 13:52pm] The difference I think is that Prince as an independant artist keeps most of the money for himself. I don't think it is the case for the bands mentionned in this top ten...
