Who the hell are you to judge anyone’s intelligence? Much less to base it on song lyrics. Most of P’s music is fun party music not a lot of room for politics or maybe you are just a music snob.

But I still think America was ironic.

I always thought the song AMERICA was kinda anti-American & was being sarcastic like when in the song DAYS O' WILD when P says "God bless america land of the brave" its a poke at the US system of thought n government. The song FREE was more spiritual than political... basically I dont agree with anything U said Hey , that´s perfectly OK if you don´t agree with me but please make sure you read my post right. I explained how his views often changed from time to time, and how contradictive he can be at times, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I´ve been into Prince and his career for a very long time now, and believe me, he´s been through some very different political phases. Add to that the fact that a lot of his songs can be interpreted in multiple ways. The Prince who wrote Days of Wild was in a completely different zone than the guy who wrote America. And stuff like The War and the Rainbow Children are one step beyond all that . (" Change the colors of the flag and to them you´re still a spade " ...most think this was about Sly Stone changing the colors of the glag on There´s a Riot Going On but it could very well be about the phase when Prince changed the colors of the flag). " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"
