Extra Loveable This might be my favorite Prince song ever. But hearing it makes me sad because most of the world won't hear this genius song. This song just captures the Minneapolis sound so perfectly. And that rocking guitar! That amazing drumbeat.

I think it's among the best outtakes ever. I used to listen to is riding my bicycle and it made me go faster. So much energy and funk.

Pray that it remains unheard, at least until Prince's philosophy towards his old music changes, as this is one track that would not escape the butcher's cleaver if it saw the light of day any time soon.

love the song...especially love the truly dark, sinister twist of it at the end; makes it so much more. Wouldn't you love to love me?

how come roodboi hasn't said anything about this yet? man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Get's me hype. Nice up-tempo feel to dance to. This song is up there. Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U.

One of the best (if not the best) circulating unreleased recordings by Prince, hands down. It's such a great song, imagine if Vanity 6 would have recorded this.

Oh & that line about rape...so memorable! its what makes the song so memorable to me...without the sinister edge it would just be another good prince song, great but another one in the crowd. the dodgy lyrics bring another level to the great music. Wouldn't you love to love me?

For all time I am with you, you are with me.

The song was meant for Vanity, wasn't it? So the rape line, coming from a woman, would have different. But his version? Shock value. He seemed to be all about shock value back then. He says all sorts of shit in his music.

This is a cut that I think P never had ANY intention on releasing. The "Don't make me rape u" line even on the 1999 album, would have definately been cut. And P never would have asked Dez shit let alone why was he tripping off of his band. No, P had no desire in releasing this song. Although I dig the groove and of course, the guitars, musically, it didn't fit on his 1999 album. It wasn't sophisticated enough. I always thought it sounded like a track that Vanity 6 could have done if he wanted them to have more of a rock sounding edge. Of course modifying the lyrics, but same title and melody. But it is one of my fave outtakes. But all of his 81-82 era outtakes are faves of mine. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Totally. Its like an extreme version of the spoken word part in Lets Pretend We're Married. He got away with that, but when you bring up rape its too risky to release it. I also agree with zsasz, it does make the song memorable, but at the same time I wish there was an edited version that could have been released (maybe as a b-side) as its a very catchy song! Sounds like a real man to me...mind if I turn on the radio?

Yeah, agreed. And it would have been a mistake to release the song as it is. But as Anotherloverholeinyohead said, an edited version as a B-side maybe would have been nice.
