Why exactly is he doing this? Is a 20 sec clip with his music playing on the background really hurting him? Does it cost him any money? Is he insulted that the cab driver didn't ask him permission?

I would think that hiring a company to police the internet 24-7 on every little ditty publishing of your music that may infringe on your "rights" costs way more. Not to mention respect.

Oh well, when you make a million a night playing your "hits" exclusively for a bunch of billionaires, I guess it's probably a neccesity to go and threaten every chump that has used your music for 20 seconds without "authorization".

Firstly, shouldn't the taxi driver be charged with driving without due care and attention? Driving around and videoing at the same time?
Secondly, the taxi driver needs a PRS (Performing Rights Society) license to have music playing in his cab, on the radio, or otherwise. I'm not sure if that license would (legally) cover him to be able to play music on Youtube... it's a license to allow public performance of someone else's copyrighted (copywrit? copywrote? ) material...
