If he hated his fans would he have came up with a hot song that is supposedly dissing-PFUHe is actually answering his fans by releasing a hot good song,If he hated his fans the song would have been horribleand ugly. what alot of people dont understand is this is that ever since prince broke away from warner brothers he does not own his masterrecordings.Bythat along warner brothers willalways make a lot of $$$ fromprince because they own his master recordings sooooo thismeans he has to re record everything he did under warner brothers if he ever wants complete control and flexibility withhis past music under warner label. That is probably why prince is re wording mostly allof his songs that he ever recorded under warner brothers label.That might be the reason he has also decided to end all of the you tube videos of him because alot ofthose songs on you tube were recorded under warner brothers record label.Secondly prince and other recording artists are probably fed up with the internet easy access to their music.Prince thought he was going to be able tomake money off of the internet by posting music online /selling stuff but almost a decade later he and other singers realize the internet gives away for others to download music and the singer song writer doesnt make a penny hardly. Notice what is going on with Televison and the writters strike the writters r saying we dont get paid for old tv shows that are being downloaded well the same thing applies to music.Ican just see a bunch of artists like prince and jay z marching to washington dc protesting what the internet has done or hasnt done for them.

I don't know the man, so I can't say I love or hate HIM, you know? I'm here because I like a lot of his music. I don't own all his CDs, I just like what I like & listen to that. Have never seen him live and hope to rectify that soon. As a modern persona, he is fascinating as well (from an cultural studies standpoint) - but that's not really HIM, it's just an image.

As for dislikes:

* I dislike some of the things he sings about, like the whole materialistic side of American aspirations.

* I think he could stand to do some editing and/or call in some outside production, at times.

* I haven't managed to listen to Crystal Ball. I just can't. Nothing on it catches my ear.

His freakin' disappearing acts.

* +/- 50% of what he did with NewPower Soul

But I'm more/less disappointed with that... I can't say I hate anything about Prince because 95-99% of his music brings so much good karma with it. And I'm all for good karma.

I was reading my thread Who's Prince's Next Wife/Girlfriend II, and i have to say i was shocked about some of the things people wrote about him and how he treated his past women. I HATE when he goes off on his little preaching tangents. "Do You Believe In God?" I don't like the fact that he refuses to play songs that he wrote from his past because he's 'changed'. I don't care how much he's changed. He still wrote those songs and he gets mad when other people re-make them. If he's changed soo much, than let someone else re-do the song and get paid for it, because I like alot of his older stuff and he refuses to play most of it. I just like the songs; doesn't matter to me who sings them really. I'm just sayin'.

I hate the fact he cant give a decent interview or say anything that only he understands..Seriously ive watched interviews and wondered "WTF are you saying"

I feel like he is being straight most of the time, but there's "thinking" involved. You have to take what he says and let it process. Same as the music. With that said, the music really does reflect what he's like as a person. And the key word(s) is/are: Very Complex.

I like the fact he makes me think, no matter if I'm looking at the person or the music itself.

The fact that he does not release a new song, concert recording or video every single day of the week.

You he could if he wanted to.

I don't think it's shocking really, and why would she need to call him, looks like they were together 24/7 He didn't mistreat her, he obviously wanted to 'mould' her to a degree, but that's not exactly abuse! I think they both loved each other, just sad the way things turned out

You know what it reminds me of? Elvis with Priscilla He did exactly the same thing, young girl, tried to get her to fit in with his lifestyle - backfired badly!

PS I bet they've both learned a lot from that, and maybe when they met up at the show - well, who knows?

I don't hate Prince at all. I hate a lot of the decisions he's made over the years. Whether it was singles choices or anything else related to his career, like the name change, he's made so many bad choices. I would say he's made some of the worst decisions in pop music and in all honesty, I'm shocked he still has a career with these choices. From Graffiti Bridge to the PFU stuff, Prince knows how to make a mess out of things. Someone who makes the most incredible music ever shouldn't operate like this.
