I'd say either Purple Rain or ATWIAD.

Purple Rain
Erotic City
17 Days
Another Lonely Christmas
God

ATWIAD
She's Always In My Hair
America
Hello

Not to mention the stellar extended/remixed A-sides themselves.

And in the U.S it was the B - side to Raspberry beret, It's most definately from that era!

Are we including songs that were out during the same year but neither on b-side or album e.g Possesed, 4 the tears in ur eyes?

There aren't many more to list but was just wondering anyway.

Irresistable Bitch and HCUDCMA are 2 of my fave b - sides.

Was Horny toad an actual b-side though? I thought it was one of those "well known bootlegs!" or along the lines of "Gotta stop messin' about"

Not a favourite. Prefer Delerious which it is similar too.

both were b-sides of the dirty mind controversy era, if my memory serves me correct. Gotta stop messin about was one of the rarest released P songs till the release of the hits/b-sides. I managed to get a vinyl version of it back in 87, b-side to let´s work I think

I would say Purple Rain. 17 Days, Another Lonely Xmas and Erotic City make up for God (vocal mix) which really throws off the grade!

It is the one really embarrassing bside from that era.

I'd say 1999 b-sides come in 2nd

I know Gotta stop Messin was released as an a-side in 81' but I wasn't sure if Horny Toad was possibly the actual b-side.

So instead of speculating I've decided to check through my Vinyl singles collection and I can confirn that Horny Toad is the B-side of my U.S. 7" of Delirious!!!!!

I said earlier that they were similar!!!

Think I'm gonna have to check one of the discographies I have to see if HT made it out before this?

Putting America as a B-side was a typo . . . I had the remix A-Side playing in my head as I was posting!

She's Always In My Hair IS a B-side, or at least here in the US. It's the b-side to Raspberry Beret.

Irresistible bitch should have been included on the 1999 album!

And Erotic City released as a single! (it didn't deserve a B-side status)...

Also, She's always in my hair would have been a great addition for ATWIAD...
