I believe we all have credible idea's into what, "The Last Days' of the Devil's deal" means to Prince.... However, as a family of people on Earth, our opinions are certainly included in any philisophical debate. Prince often inspires deep thought and opens the door for discussion such as this. Keep in mind that History can pinpoint the devil's arrival from the beginning, as far as chaotic antagonism goes in the mind of the creator to seperate ideas for the mere purpose of unification. To truly love....Fear or Hatred must be understood. "I hate you" because I love you, is a perfect example of a Lover's quarrel. The phrase...."Money is the root of all evil" or the love of money....is what buys the rose for the lover and the gun for the attacker. you have to believe in a devil in order to see its arrival. the problem with the world today - thanks Prince for the line - is that it is the same as forever,its always been this way. Just different people existing at anyone time doin the same stuff all over again, cept nowadays the weapons and words are stronger. if you believe in evil then the root must be suggested as organised religion which has don its damndest to stamp out all pagan and earthly philosophies. christianity in its earliest forms tramped its way across the world killing thousands and demanding they covert, they did this in the middle east at home in uk, then across the new worlds america, australia and then the missonaries were sent out to covert africa, the west indies etc etc. these same church going citizens wre gainfully employed in slavery, stealing of lands all in the name of their god especially the knights templar. so okay i may have the exact order a little muddled and i sure some historian amogst you will undoubtably complain, but the basis is true. people who follow organised religion, like prince, only do so on their own terms. they each do as little or as much as they choose from what is required of them, thus they all become hypocrites or zealots there is nothing inbetween. you can never understand princes lyrics because they are so muddled and until he one day decides to write done his thoughts we will never really know. as for 1914? who knows but if its from rainbow children then im guessing its the JW reason, makes sense. I thought it was only recent that hes turned his attention to monopolies, publishing rights and copyright.
